Chronic bass head Mood got hooked on the massive dub sound of Linton Kwesi Johnson way back in high school and knew from then on that bass was the place. After cutting his musical teeth on dub and reggae through those early years, he spent the 90s under the influence of Jungle and DnB. It wasn’t long before he picked up some software and started smacking breaks together as an aspiring Junglist. He joined a crew in Sendai, Japan called Echophonyk in 2004 for his debut behind the decks. Things moved forward with his move to Tokyo in 2006 and initiation into the scene at Garden, Nakameguro, as a member of the weekly ‘Love Sound: Sunday Reggae’ crew. With the onset of Dubstep fever, Mood looked for new places to tear it up. He found it in XXXtra large events like MadeinGlitch, Club Culture, Bass Hive and Tokyo Rampant. Mood looks forward to making your head bob and your ears bleed very soon.
